Can the vehicle be taken on a ferry?Transporting the vehicle via ferry or ship is not allowed without written permission, except on public ferries listed in the rental agreement. Even with permission, the hirer is fully responsible for any damage, and such damage is not covered by Additional Damage Protection (Premium Cover or otherwise).

Can vehicles be used in snow areas?Snow areas are considered restricted, specifically areas above the snow line where snow chains are required. Driving in these areas is only permitted if a Snow Pass is purchased.

Question: What happens if a third party hits the rental car?The hirer must collect full details of all parties involved (names, contact information, vehicle registrations, and insurance details), as well as any witnesses and a police report where applicable. The hirer’s liability is limited to the excess specified in the rental agreement, depending on the level of cover (Basic, Everyday, or Premium). Please note: For Basic and Everyday Cover, in addition to the excess, the hirer will also be liable for: A Claims Management Fee of $195, covering administrative and processing costs. An Immobilisation Fee, calculated as the daily hire charge multiplied by the number of days the vehicle is unavailable for hire due to damage or repairs. These additional fees do not apply under Premium Cover unless excluded under specific terms.
