The Brisbane Airport branch will start operating from Sunday, March 9th, at 07:00 AM.

Severe Weather Warning – Brisbane Airport Closure Update
 

To ensure your safety and the safety of our staff, the Brisbane Airport branch will remain closed until Sunday, March 9th, 07:00 AM.

Simba Car Hire has been notified of a severe weather warning for South East Queensland and surrounding areas.

​

If you are scheduled to pick up a vehicle during this period, you will not be able to collect your car.
 

For Customers with a Scheduled Pick-up During the Closure Period:

​

• Bookings made directly with Simba Car Hire (using the Book Now, Pay Later option) can be canceled without any charges. Please request a cancellation via our website.

​

• Bookings made directly with Simba Car Hire (using the Pay Now option) can be canceled, with the amount retained as credit for future use. To cancel or for more details on using your credit, visit our website.

​

• Bookings made through third-party agents or websites: Please contact your booking provider directly for any changes or reimbursement requests.

​

For Customers Due to Return Their Vehicle During This Time:

​

• If you are unable to return the vehicle, please retain the car until conditions improve. You must contact us at brisbaneairport@simbacarhire.com.au to arrange an extension at a discounted daily rate.

​

• You may return the vehicle to our nearest location. Please email brisbaneairport@simbacarhire.com.au to organize a relocation and discuss any applicable fees.

​

• Do not abandon the vehicle. The Primary Driver listed on the rental agreement remains responsible for the car until it is officially returned to Simba Car Hire.

For Customers with an Ongoing Rental Not Due for Return:
If you currently have a rental vehicle, please monitor weather updates and stay safe. For further updates regarding this closure and any potential extensions, please check our website.

 
Important Notice:
Any customer affected by additional costs or out-of-pocket expenses due to severe weather disruptions should contact their insurance provider for assistance.
